party was excellent. i was woken up this morning by the sound of the boxes and boxes of empty bottles being dumped into the recycling truck on its way past our place. reminded me of living in camberwell, of when the palace would get their bottle recycling bins emptied. they usually timed it so that there was no rumbling of passing trains- when they tipped the recycling bins up, it sounded like an empty stubbie avalanche. ah, the memories.
the best thing about living in a converted shopfront is you get to eavesdrop on people as they walk past the front of your house. on sunday, i heard at least seven versions of 'oooh, big party there, huh?' or something to that effect when passers-by saw all the empties. funny.
i love living here. we're already planning the next get together.
