i know, i know - i've failed. how could i have let it go without so much as a passing mention?
i'm typing about, of course, the passing of that pop-culture icon, aaron spelling (may his soul rest in peace). he passed away on june 23rd, a date which will has been burned into my psyche not only for the loss of the creator of possibly one of my all-time favourite tv series (BH90210, thanks for asking), but also because it is also my husband's birthday. how ironic. now, hopefully aaron's passing will remove whatever stoppage was in the way of seeing a 90210 dvd full season release. if his estate goes the same way as the presley estate did, i should be able to buy my own piece of steve saunder's toupee any day now... i *loved* 90210. however, i still haven't seen the last season. although when we first moved in to the place we live in a couple of years ago, the landlord left his foxtel box here cause he'd cancelled his subscription and the foxtel guy hadn't come to pick it up yet. anyway, for some reason they just left the box active, so we had free foxtel for a while there. and they used to have eps of 90210 on every day around 10am... that was so good. then after a while they cancelled the sub and the picture was gone, but... the sound still came through. and i think i might have listened to a few episodes... god. that's kinda sad, isn't it? but seriously, what's a girl to do? desperate times, my friends. desperate times. anyway, here's hoping that they finally release it on dvd. that would be quite excellent.
