blogger's going a bit crazy, but i'm glad it's back - i'd rather have a slightly loopy blogger than no blogger at all.
yes, we are back from our fiji trip - have been for about two weeks - and i must say it helps to come back home when you have at least one thing to look forward to, ie postgrad. i am a words nerd, and proud of it. i can't wait to get started.
my gig on monday night at the local went fantabulously, the new material i wanted to try out worked like a charm and for the second time ever, i loved myself on stage (not literally though). hence i have been booked for another spot there on august 4, though i might have to come up with some new material by then.
last night was another first for me - i actually asked ged for a gig at the commercial. i have to get better at this self-promotion thing. anyway, i have to call him at some stage today and re-confirm.
i finally heard back from varuna, and i didn't get in to the development forum, though i did get a nice handwritten letter with mesages of genuine encouragement on it. i am quite happy with that, as it fits in with shalini's new outlook on life - mustn't be greedy. i have a lot of things to be thankful for right about now.
the only thing i am not too pleased about is being told by the real estate agent yesterday that the owner would like to move back into our house.
am i doomed to spend the rest of my life moving every six months?
i like the local area, but uni is on the other side of the westgate - together with the vast majority of our family members. all i want is a nice house with a dishwasher and ducted heating... please?
